Will Carpenter started his higher education in art at Wheaton College studying, amongst other accomplished artists and educators, painter Joel Sheesley and sculptor Jeff Thompson. Subsequently, he painted in Ecuador, South America until the University of Miami accepted him into their MFA program on a full ride scholarship + a stipend. He moved to Coral Gables Florida to study under UM’s Walter Darby Bannard, an acclaimed minimalist, and abstract expressionist painter and art writer / critic.
Will Carpenter most loves being a husband to his wife Jackie and a father to a slew of kids. He serves in his local congregation playing his violin in worship. For the past decade + he has taught courses in art appreciation, color, design, drawing, and painting. He pursues a professional practice during the summer, devoting himself primarily to drawings and paintings of suburban landscapes.
